Someone's selling sea urchins on eBay from a species "science" hadn't come across before. Here's what the Guardian has to say on the matter.
What interested me most was the comment at the bottom of the article that says "15,000 new species are added to the zoological list each year". Does this balance out the extinctions list? Are there trends in the kinds of species (i guess I mean are there genus, family or order prevelences?) Does the content of the list suggest anything about how the perceived climate changes affect the overall distribution of life types across the globe? |
