A friend of a friend in LA is looking for some talented people to help build a new online system for dispute resolution. Thought there might be some people interested here. Get in touch using the email at the end if you're interested! Also, wondering if it's worth it / OK to cross-post to Creation or maybe even Laboratory?
-----------------
"For the past few years, I have been developing an online dialectic that can be used for resolving conflict, in theory any conflict, personal, or global, as well as for negotiation and troubleshooting. I recently have found a professional grant writer, a professor from Hunnington University, who is excited about the project and wants to get it a grant. He has over ten years being awarded large grants and the prospect looks very good.
"The grant would go to develop on online forum, almost like a wikipedia, that will walk users through a rational logical win win framework that can, in theory, resolve any conflict simply by both parties staying in the discussion speaking freely. All dialogue between users is also catalogued to be made available for future reference or consideration, much like legal debate in the court of law. For simple example, an Israeli citizen and a Palestinian citizen could go online and begin to resolve the problems between their countries, encouraging other global citizens to join in the discussion. Or another example, all arguments regarding Global Warming can be catalogued, showing the rhetorical or false arguments, and the rational steps that prove them to be misleading, all available online for reference. This program can be used for personal conflict or negotiation as well, and would be completely free of charge. The big picture of course is to evolve the framework to the point where global participants can begin to resolve the conflicts in their areas without turning to the political solutions of their governments, which current history is showing us simply don't work.
"This is what I need. I need to hire, at the very least, a Game Theorist (mathematician) and a computer scientist/programmer who can understand ternary logic and translate it into this framework. I also need a website developer, with a background in wiki systems, to apply the structure into a site. I may need to hire more people, perhaps a cognitive scientist, but am not yet quite so sure. We would also submit the framework for proper peer review in the academic community and all would share credit.
"If anyone knows of anyone who even knows of anyone who can help in this worthy project, that would be great. This is not a freebie! All would be compensated through the grant for their time and effort in developing this system. Thank you for your consideration."
