Seems to me maybe fashion's unwell. Is it dying? Too much derivation, looping round in round in circles. Everyone's looking at each other, no-one's getting inspired. Perhaps recent popular criticism of Ms Moss's fashion sense only illustrates the lostness of the industry at large.
Do you agree? What do you think might be underlying this (if it isn't just a bug in my personal pattern recognition routines)? Have you got solutions? What are your current outsider style influences? Who's catching the inspiration in clothing cuts? What is fresh and luscious in your wardrobe?
Fantasy collection descriptions get extra points.
"Daywear is inspired by what Edwardian suffragist nursery nurses would have worn if cut by Biba in 1960 in a version of the twentieth century where there had been no fabric shortage following WWII." etc |
