Grant Morrison's wrote a text story for the 1986 UK Batman annual, with accompanying art by Garry 'Miracleman' Leach. Here it is!

Nice one; I've never even heard of this, much as Jamie Delano fans may be unaware of his Hoist text story in the 1985(?) Transformers annual.

I should mention that credit for finding this belong to Abraxas, from round these parts.

OMG! I've been looking for this FOREVER, along with "Osgood Peabody's Big Green Dream Machine" for the Superman Annual in the same year--damn, what a rare find. THANK YOU!!!!

Grant's prose work has been really difficult to find compared to his comics work. I was able to read "Braille Encyclopedia" (republished in a Best New Horror anthology) as well as "I'm a Policeman", but the rest has been extremely hard to get ahold of. I'm still hoping someone reprints his Lovely Biscuits collection...

Again, THANK YOU Dan Fish! This made my day.

See, I read the thread title and thought it was going to be some kind of Elseworlds thingie, or a time-travel story. Batman goes back to the crazy world of 1986, where he battles the Joker, who's doing a lot of coke, wearing pastels, and listening to Duran Duran...

I've put 'Captain Granbretan' up too, a MarvelUK text story also by GM.
