If it came to the point where it was inevitable, would you rather get an arm or leg broken or get a long creeping illness?

Left arm please. I can't think of much that it actually does apart from act as balance every now and then. Question though - if you break your arm, when can you start playing video games again?

depends where you break it.

I keep thinking of that arm-breaking scene in "Escape to Victory". I think I'd go for the illness.

Broken arm. I had that once, it´s not so bad. And you never know, what complications the illness might bring.

I choose the creepy illness, assuming that it is some form of lycanthropy.

Broken bones just hurt too much. Or so I've heard.

Broke my wrist bone before. I'd rather break it (the left one this time pretty please) than be subjected to some sort of plague - the wrist didn't hurt so much as being uncomfortable, though I'll probably get arthritis in the future.

Broken bone, that way if you are a werewolf you'll just heal right back up.

Thanks to SCIENCE I can eat pills so the broken bone wont bother me.

Unfortunately no amount of vicoden will make me forget I have scurvy.

Crunch, for sure. Diseases are way ickier than a simple break.

For me it would depend on the quality of drugs that would be made available to me in the event of CRUNCH. I've never had a broken bone, that I'm aware of, and I'm a bit of a wimp about the idea. So, barring massive amounts of quality drugs, I'll take the illness, having survived several so far.

But really, I'd rather just have the drugs.

With a bit of bad luck, you catch a bonebreaking disease.

I'm pretty solidly in the crunching camp, because having had both a long term illness and a broken bone, I can tell you the bone is less problematic.

Although: if we're talking actually CRUNCHING the bone, into small splintery fragments, then, um. I think I'd rather mope for several months, than never have my arm/leg in proper working order again.

A nice neat snap of the right arm please, in preference to longterm ill-health.
