To be more accurate, you were telling a man "fish are nice!"

But I'm reaallly looking forward to watching this.

It's amazing. And screwy. And... heady.

I thought it was great. Animation is a little stiff, but they basically took Mignola's art and made it talk. Fantastic.

Apparently, that web-poll counts for something if you want more made. So go complete it if you watch it!

I just did, and gave it the highest possible score and pleaded with sci-fi for further episodes. All the voice acting was top notch (and funny), but the best was Empreror Zombie. He was hilarious.

I really like the animation too. It has Mignola's signature stylized heavy-shadows, and the sort of movement I associate with Dead Leaves. (Not as fluid, but then Dead Leaves is hard to top).

If this isn't continued, my heart will wither and die just a little.

I don't think I ever suspected I'd see a television show quite like that. Let's hope the online thing is functioning as one, because a proper, randomly selected test audience is going to very likely have severe issues with every single thing in that episode.

That was fun! It had zombies, monkeys, satirical political commentary of the broadest kind, and our protagonist's past relationships are all just marvelous.

You just know somebody's already getting prepped to be offended. Or confused. Or concerned about the devil communicating to their children through the vampire ex or the demigod.

And the animation looks really nice. I was kinda sorta really fearing what Mignola angles and blacks could be transfigured to by a bouncy, round, constant-motion Disneyfication, y'know?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy

This made me really happy. I like the expanded upon histories of the characters and it felt like I lot was going on for a twenty-two minute cartoon. Mister Groin wins. I wonder if they'll end up being optioned for a longer run.

Has Mignola expressed any interest in writing more comics for Screw-On Head?

Loved the flappy faux-video screen painting of Lincoln.

It looks very murky and blurry....and I have pretty high speed cable net access. I notice a thing that says "Full screen"; which I assume would make it much bigger and maybe get slightly better resolution....but when I click on 'full screen,' nothing happens. Is it just blurry and that's pretty much the way it is, or is there a way to get a slightly less blurry viewing? Just curious.

The pilot aired on Sci-Fi channel last night, apparently as a one-shot deal. It looked fantastic, and the writing was genius. A 22-minute blast of sheer, perfect absurdity. Dada superheroics, endlessly quotable.

"Any last words before I spark it?"

That's going to get a lot of mileage in my day-to-day.

Any cartoon that uses the phrase petty, vengeance fetish is a-okay in my book. Only real complaint is that at points Head sounded a little bit like Zombie Niles, which was weird.

So much YES in those 22 minutes though. Art style, animation (fuck, if only they could go back and redo Disney's Atlantis in true Mignolavision, eh?) I loved how they managed to get so much life and expression out of Zombies dryed up skull.

Fair smattering of character development and backstory there too.

And the ideas. The ideas! Smoking people. Crab-tank exo-bodies. Ambulatory voodoo dogs.

It truly is Hellboy B-Sides.

Has anyone else filled out the survey? I've tried twice now but it fucks up on the last page.

I had a problem with the survey. It turns out any use of quotation marks or going over the word limit on the textboxes (they don't tell you what it is, I have a feeling they just copied and pasted some code from somewhere else) screws up the survey when you hit send. Get rid of any quotes and cut back on how many words you used to answer their questions, and it should work.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In the poll, say you watch the sci-fi chanel but that you don't go to their website often. Apparently this will help their chances of making it into a real TV show instead of a webcartoon.
