I've forgotten the name of a US alternative college ... HELP!

Hi all,

I read sometime ago about a really interesting alternative college in the USA. Maybe it was in Vermont? Or Virginia? I can't remember. All I remember is that students were required to help out a bit on the farm, it was really hard to get in, and you studied the classics...

Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
