Yay! I just got home from working in a restaurant during Canada Day. Now I'm going to eat frozen pizza and watch Six Feet Under (S5) and go to sleep. I'm so tired.

No, we just generally drink more and maybe barbeque a grizzly or two.

We had Canada Day today.

It murdered us at work. The Firehall is one of the only restaraunts down by the lake in Oakville (at least in our part of town), considering that the only other options are the pub, the ice cream shop, and the place that got torched (apparently by the owners) so that it could be renovated.

We almost ran out of food. We DID run out of some types of food. 4 people called in "sick", including one man (Jimmy "The Limey" Keelie) who qualifies any English football match as a "sick day", who will appear tomorrow with a horrific hangover, lamenting England's loss to "those damn frogs".

This was Canada Day. I support Americans celebrating my national holiday, as long as they stay away from my restaraunt.

To all other Canadians on Barbelith, happy Canada day (stay away from my restaraunt). To all the Americans, early happy Independence Day...may you kill many aliens with absurd plot hooks.

When I was working in a restaurant, Canada Day was hell, but Valentine's Day was double-plus hellbad evil nasty crap day, because not only is the place stacked to the rafters, but shrieking harridans, screaming beaus, and both together are insisting that everything... must... be... PERFECT.

My Canada Day was rather nice. Did a lot of yard work, some reading, wrote a bit and played video games. Aaaah.
