My wee Bro's band in Battle of the Bands Scottish final *Video Problem*

Im making a backround video for my brothers band, Falter, who are competing in the scottish battle of the bands final this saturday in glasgow. Videos were meant to be into organisers a month ago, but falter won their regional final only 2 weeks ago and told they could have a backround video 1 week ago, so ive had a few late nights putting together a vid for them.

Problem is, it has to be in glasgow tommorow. I spoke to the techy guy for the gig and he said i can host it online and he'll download it.

The file will be quite large. Anyone know where i can upload it, paying is not a problem

If you can't find somewhere to upload it, you could perhaps create a torrent for it. Then just leave your computer on and connected to the net and send the stage guy the .torrent file.

There are a few file sharing sites outhere where you can upload a single file, then give people the link to it. Although I can't find any links now I know it has been used on here quite a bit.

If the torrent fails perhaps you could try one of the free upload sites. The list below I've grabbed from someone's blog and details the maximum filesize of uploads:

Megaupload 250 MB
YouSendIt 1 GB
Bigupload 2 GB

If the file is bigger than the limits the website impose then perhaps try slicing the final .AVI file into separate chunks and upload them separately. The last time I needed to do this I think I used a program called 'Slice 'n' Splice', but you might want to do some googling to check it out. Ofcouse you'll also need to make sure the stage guy at the other end can paste all the files together.

Best of luck with both the uploading and editing of the video. And best of luck for your wee bro's band tomorrow.

How did it go, mate? Did you manage to get the video across? How did your brother's band do?
