Ello, Gentle templefolk.

For the last three weeks I've been having cars honk whenever they go past me. Now, I live on a main road and have to walking along a dual carriageway on the way to work so this happening occasionally is to be expected but as I said I've noticed this multiple times every single day for weeks. Half-heartedly wondering if this is just coincidence or an e-mail from the universe. Is there anything symbolic to car horns that leaps out?

well, horns in general are often symbolic. think cherubim, klaxxon, etc... a cry from the heavens. a battle cry or sudden disruption of attention. some elementals use horns as well. consider Purson of the Goetia.

There is something a bit special about horns and trumpets, isn't there? Particularly that 5 semi-tone drop the trains near me use, when they cross over the bridge, get louder, drop the note, and then fade away in the echoing night- I think Eno was aware of that when he was working on Low and Heroes...
