Going slowly mad

Living in these uni halls at the moment. Moving out in 19 days.

Everyone else has gone home or away or something. Urm.

My computer chair's broken- bent and snapped- it was cheapo. I can go and tell the hall staff but then I'll lose money off my deposit. I've had to take a high chair from the kitchen which is uncomfortable and means I have to sit with the keyboard on my kneees as I type this.

Hoovering my room, throwing away loads of rubbish- the room's spotless- but now I find these little creatures, sort of like centipedes but really small. They keep appearing on the carpet. I don't like this.

Supposed to be getting a job but I dunno, handed in CV's all over and no-one's replied yet.

Where's everyone gone?

They've all been killed by a virus called The Rage that they caught from lab monkeys. There's only you and me left alive, Legba. You should start walking south now and we can meet up about Milton Keynes and begin a new society. Our first act will be the eradication of your carpet beetles and the second: learning carpentry. You can build things and I'll do the cooking. One of us will have to learn how to breed, clearly, but we can argue about that at some later point.

I went mad a long time ago.

Personally, I found the experience quite liberating.

No, I know 28 days later! I meant this:

A faux naive reference to Rage the poster

I'm in a bit of a similar situation Leg. Somewhere in the half-light before Summer begins. Still in college halls, room like a rat's nest, bored out of my brain, no job, constant consumption of alcohol and going to clubs, no direction.

Today I have felt unable to: Move out (thus I'm extending my stay for a month). Clean room: it's perhaps filthier now. Do something constructive. Find a job. Enjoy brief freedom in any beneficial way.

This feeling is so bleh.

Centipedes MUST DIE.

Ucky little things. Blah. Thing I most enjoyed about Oxford: no spiders or centipedes in my dorm room.

You know, when I was in a dorm, we never had centipedes. We did, however have creepy bedbug things or something living INSIDE our mattresses. We had to have them replaced within a month of moving in.

Also, there was a pirate living 4 doors down that felt a need to, you know, dress like a pirate. All the time. He wasn't even a particularly good pirate. Just loud and annoying and smelly. He also walked around the halls chewing food with his mouth open.

...

I may have killed him in his sleep. Maybe.
