Wealth, not dearth, surely? Otherwise - it is trickier. These rules are a pretty representative sample. You get points if your players are on the field for more than 60 minutes. If your defenders or goalkeeper concede a goal, they lose points, if they get a clean sheet (go a game without conceding a goal) they score points. Goalkeepers get points for successful saves, also. All players get points for scoring goals - more for defenders, fewer for midfielders, least for strikers - and for providing the final pass before a goal - an "assist", as we have learned to call them.
That's the basics. I suspect it's quite sketchy and limited compared with fantasy baseball because, as you say, there are very few statistics by comparison in a flowing game.
Meanwhile, commiserations to those with Lehmann. I was assuming that Germany would try to attack to keep the ball away from their dodgy defence, and certainly with Ballack injured Schweinsteiger seemed a good risk. Also, his name means "pig-mounter'. Double gold! |
