I saw it last week actually, but it's only just occured to me that you good people might be interested.

I was sitting in the dark looking at the sky (appropriately enough) and listening to John Peel.

It was triangular with a light on each corner (the lights were green and red I think, not flashing), but I could see it's outline and it actually was triangular and not airplane-shaped. It was completely silent and was moving across the sky in a very smooth zig-zag pattern, like a yacht tacking.

After it had gone there was a shower of shooting stars.

Reminded me of a '70s crackpot book called 'THE PEMBROKESHIRE TRIANGLE' which was all about ufo's terrorizing local primary schools (I really hope our Greenland friends never pick up on that connection) around this part of the world..

England's pretty famous for flying triangle sightings -- especially in the vicinity of nuclear reactors.
Probably air force test craft, but they've been sighted fairly often for a few years now.
That said, the red and green lights make me think this may have been a standard airplane with some other factor obscuring its outline. Who knows, though -- I wasn't there.

Enamon and me saw a UFO back in Russia sometime between 1986 and 1990. It was also triangular. Equilateral in fact. It had white lights and moved not only in a zig-zag pattern but it also turned on a dime and kept turning a lot.

Ok, here's the funny/cool part. Basically, Irealized that if I look at the ground and just pay attention to it I'll suddenly notice movement and will see ants and other bugs that normally I didn't see. So what happened was that we were waiting with my grandma for a bus at about 10pm. So I look up at the sky and say to enamon that we should look for UFOs because the sky is filled with stars. So I used the same method I use to see bugs and ants. I looked up at the sky and focussed on a particular spot. nothing. then moved my eyes a bit and again focused on a spot. What do you know. A triangle, an equilateral triangle with white lights the size of the stars in the sky was moving around very strangely in ways that I've never seen an airplane do. (I still haven't seen any planes act as that one did. When planes turn they kind of lean to the side. This one didn't lean at all. It just turned.)

And so that was it. My dad also saw a UFO last year in Las Vegas in broad daylight witha few other people. i'll ask him about it.

Hey, I've seen those flying triangles too (this was in Calgary, Canada). It was about five years ago now, but the ones that I saw gliding across the sky were not lit by any lights. There was five flying in a V-formation, and I could barely make out their silhouettes against the starry sky. They floated smoothly overhead, traveling in a straight line. The peculiar thing was that they were absolutely silent, although they did appear to be quite high up in the air.

I've always thought they were of terrestrial origin. Perhaps military planes or something...

I have yet to see triangles, but a couple of years ago a friend and i saw what seemed to be a star moving slowly north east, it was quite bright and got dimer the further on its corse it went, it did this for some 5 minutes, stopped dead then at suprising speed doubled back on itself and was seen nomore. We were worried, especially when we were attacked moments later by a "June bug" an insect neither of us had seen before, dirty trousers i can tell you !

I saw a yoofo back in '94. It was in Reading, UK, I was walking back from work late at night, and when I got to my street, there it was, static in the sky above my row of houses, couldn't make out the shape, but I remember it was cascading through different colours (red blue green and others) in a vaguely Close Encounters manner. Then it winked out; I don't know where it went.

It's amazing how incredulous people can become when you recount these stories.

Essex is supposed to be this like, fantastic hotspot of ufo activity, but I've never seen one hereabouts.

First off, it's "Enamon and I" NOT "Enamon and me". Second off, I do not recall this event although Lionheart keeps trying to remind me about it. What I do remember is that when we were young we believed to have seen a UFO. However I do not recall any details about it (the shape, how it was moving, etc.).

Alright, now that that's done with, I'd like to ask you, Rizla, a question. When the craft "zig-zagged" did it, as Lionheart put it, "turn on a dime"? Also, if it was night how could you make out the outline of the craft?

It just struck me and I should have said this earlier. I have heard of various reports involving sightings of these triangular craft. If the military is behind this then these objects are not your average run of the mill experimental aircraft. Some of these objects have been sighted at an extremely close range (within a couple hundred feet) and all sightees report the same thing. These craft are of enormous size. The distance from the backside to the front angle is easily 200 feet (that's way over 60 meters). The height of the object, from base to highest point, is around 30 feet. Also the angles of the craft are round and not sharp.

It sounds like a really big kite.

Yes. A kite the size of a three-stort building...Perhaps it is a gigantic kite hooked up to a 3 story building. Sort of an amateur space station.

I have seen a UFO. Or it was a UFO, untill I found out that it was an airplane when it then became known as an IFO.

Once saw a perfectly round ball of light about twenty feet in diameter go down behind some trees. We ran over to see and all the hair on our arms stood up. Then the thing shot into the air absolutely silently. No one slept that night.
