I am fascinated and intrigued with the idea of biojewellery, also known as cultured bone.
My partner and I are jewellers and would like to grow our own bone rings for each other. However, the people who came up with the idea have no plans to make it a commercial venture and are treating their idea as an experiment and art project. They already have a couple who will get the rings.
So I wondered, this is in the UK. Is there anywhere else in the world that does this sort of thing?
Is it hugely difficult to grow bone from a bone shard? If we found a crazy scientist to help us, could we do it? Come on, please say we can. |
