How does the agree/disagree distributed moderation system work?

Gawd, I feel old. We didn't have these new-fangled doodahs when I were a moderator (the first time) wayyyyy back in the day.

Anyway, I edited a post of mine this evening, putting it in for moderation. Two moderators PMed me to say they'd disagreed my request. Can that happen? I was under the impression that it only took one 'disagree' for a request to be sunk. Am I missing some vital insight into how the spread moderation system works?

This is my impression too. I assume that the moderation window would have to be opened at the same time and it came up with a thank you note afterwards by default? Probably only one person actually disagreed it?

I think that's probably what happened. It freaked me out a little last night, though.

Or perhaps one (or both) actually skipped it rather than disagreeing? Did they actually say they'd DISAGREED or just that they HADN'T AGREED it?

They both said they'd DISAGREED. Except in non-Von Mises lower-case.

Ah. (Yeah, sorry about the caps- I'd just read the entire Rock Is Dead thread, and they just seemed to HAPPEN. I mean, erm, happen).

In which case, I'd go with either Nina's suggestion or "I have no idea". FWIW, I don't remember even seeing your request last night... but then, I passed out at about nine, so...

It was around midnight, possibly later and I disagreed it because I worried it might screw with continuity for someone reading later comments about the post. I was the second person to disagree it I think but I read both of the posts in the window and then hit the reference link to the thread so it took at least five minutes for me to hit the disagree button, very possibly longer. I got the usual no jobs message at the end. It could direct you to the no jobs left window as well because you're already processing the request? Perhaps you only get the bad message when you click on a job that's already been processed before you get to the specific request window.

This is actually something I've been wondering about for a while so it's neat that we have this thread.
