Your Mastermind specialist subject?

Everyone knows the show Mastermind right? If you had to go on the show what would your specialist subject be and why?

I think I would choose The Life and Times of Thomas More, since I did my Alevel project on it and a module at uni on him and think he's brill.

Evil Scientist

Star Trek: TNG.

Not because I'm a huge fan of it or anything, but decades of Sky 1 re-runs of it has left me with horribly precise knowledge of the minutia of the show by sheer osmosis.

The films of John Carpenter (excluding 'Ghosts of Mars').

Alice In Wonderland. The bloody book wallpapers my mind.

How to fight a dog, for the obvious reasons. Or the Simpsons for the same reasons Evil Scientist gives. Or maybe PKD books (but give me another year to finish 'em all first).

Seinfeld for Evil Scientist's reasons. I've just seen so many episodes and know so many characters and lines. I love the show, but not fanatically. I just know it well, that's all.

Jake, Colossus of Clout

Baseball, definitely. Something that I've followed for twenty years. I have a head full of obscure rules and statistics. Who was the catcher for the 1992 Boston Red Sox? Tony Pena! 1989 MVP? Kevin Mitchell! Nomar's batting average in 2000? .372!

It's a sickness, really. But it feels so good...

Tuna Ghost: Pratt knot hero

Or the Simpsons for the same reasons Evil Scientist gives.

Same here (except that I love the Simpsons), although I would need to specify seasons 4-13 as my area of ultra expertise.

I'd choose Synaesthesia. Would I be allowed to do that? Actually I suppose it's a bit like choosing Diabetes really and probably not acceptable.

Queer: The Lyrics of Morrissey. Except there'd be no yes/no questions.

I am not understanding. Do you mean no 'yes/no' like the 'yes/no game' where the player A isn't allowed to say yes or no in answer to player B's questions? That would make for amusing viewing but somehow I am sure this is not what you mean.

I mean almost any answer on Morrissey and sexuality would, by necessity, be lengthy and inconclusive.

Probably the music of Scott Walker.

Ah. Thank you.

Sounds like every good thread on here.

The films of Bette Davis. Or Joan Crawford. Or Sandra Bullock.

I know a lot about the mess, that is the german thelemic scene. But I hope, nobody wants to hear about it, because I´m sick of those people.

Sorry, missed a "why", there. OK, because despite Scott Walker being really rather cheesy, mildly sexist and very unfashionable, I have committed to heart almost every lyric he has ever written (and many in the orignal French by Brel) because he brought me through some relatively bad times and can still make me smile with a quick blast of Mathilde. I reckon I could ace any round that conveniently ignored the last two albums.

But his tilt album is wonderful! When you mentioned him, I hoped I could question you about his new release.

Perhaps only if you were being quizzed, dear.

1)Has Stephen Patrick Morrissey ever explicitly identified himself as queer?

I would like to specialise in Morrissey puns, with a bonus round of Morrisey monkey-related puns. As long as I don't have to face Gypsy Lantern in the lightning bonobo-only round.

He doesn't do explicit.
