Grant Morrison Profile - Judge Dredd Megazine 245.

There's a snazzy Morrison profile in the issue of Judge Dredd the Megazine that's just gone out to subscribers and hits the shops in the morning. It'll probably tell you nothing you don't know, and as you'd expect it focuses on his work for he of the Verdigris Testese, particularly Zenith and Big Dave.

Box outs cover his major works for other publishers, there's a handy dandy 2k stripogrophy (I hate that word), and quotes from Stevey Owel and Steve Parkhouse. Highlight for me was the letter to Tharg in response to Big Dave that is quoted. The writer, surely not THE Richard Griffiths, fails spectacularly to get the point.

Anyway for 2.99 you get the profile, which includes the Steve Yeowell Zenith Star Scan from Prog 2000, which might not be familiar to you, and complete a Dredd tale, a Tale from the Black Museum with John Ridgeway art, as well as first episodes of the revived Fiends of the Eastern Front (luscious black and white Colin MacNiel artwork) and the first episode of the new series of Black Siddhe, Pat Mills most exuberant English Language strip in years. All that and a reprint of a Wagner and Brashill Dredd, and Springheeled Jack small press action.

And I can hear people sharpening their comments about how I post a lot about 2k. So? You all post a lot about Grant Morrison. It's nice when things like this cross over, isn't it?

hm, let me pull a Rich Johnston here: could this be a sign of Rebellion and Morrison settling the dispute over ZENITHs reprint rights and the collections are on their way? maybe after the coming Bristol Con there'll be new info.

anyway, thanks for the heads-up; maybe it's material for an insertion in the GM Interview Archive edit I've been postponing for ages now...

It'd be nice to think that it were but this is a profile, not an interview as such. I don't think this is sucah a reproachment as an obvious choice for the new series of articles. I expect Alan Moore will be nect but I doubt he'll be writing Halo 4.

And it'd be remiss of me not to point out you can probably still order issue 201 of the Meg from Rebellion for a fiver or buy the forthcoming lovely hardback for a tenner and relive your fiends memories.
