There's a snazzy Morrison profile in the issue of Judge Dredd the Megazine that's just gone out to subscribers and hits the shops in the morning. It'll probably tell you nothing you don't know, and as you'd expect it focuses on his work for he of the Verdigris Testese, particularly Zenith and Big Dave.
Box outs cover his major works for other publishers, there's a handy dandy 2k stripogrophy (I hate that word), and quotes from Stevey Owel and Steve Parkhouse. Highlight for me was the letter to Tharg in response to Big Dave that is quoted. The writer, surely not THE Richard Griffiths, fails spectacularly to get the point.
Anyway for 2.99 you get the profile, which includes the Steve Yeowell Zenith Star Scan from Prog 2000, which might not be familiar to you, and complete a Dredd tale, a Tale from the Black Museum with John Ridgeway art, as well as first episodes of the revived Fiends of the Eastern Front (luscious black and white Colin MacNiel artwork) and the first episode of the new series of Black Siddhe, Pat Mills most exuberant English Language strip in years. All that and a reprint of a Wagner and Brashill Dredd, and Springheeled Jack small press action.
And I can hear people sharpening their comments about how I post a lot about 2k. So? You all post a lot about Grant Morrison. It's nice when things like this cross over, isn't it? |
