Hello My Lovelies,

I'm calling for a meet, eat, greet, and booze fest at our local watering hole, Hurley's, on Friday May 12th at 6:00 p.m.

Hooray! At least someone replied to this thread. I was beginning to wonder what had happened to my local barbelithers. Since the timing is off and the weather sucks today anyways, let's re-schedule. Perhaps if we scheduled the Meet for sometime during the week of May 21-27 we'd get more people in attendance. Would that be a good time for you?

Yeah, I could do that. The reviews aren't too good but hey, I'm gonna want to see it anyway. The schedule doesn't seem to be available since it's not out yet. The earliest I could be there is probably 6, but I wouldn't promise it before 6:30. It depends on how fast closing time goes here and then traffic and stuff.

Tickets might go fast on opening day.

Anyway, we can try and if it doesn't work we can just go eat and drink.

Bow before my superior googling-fu skills! The play times for the X-men movie at the Paramount theatre in downtown are:

(12:30), (1:10), (1:30), (2:50), (3:30), (4:00), (4:15), (4:45), (5:30), 7:00, 7:30, 7:45, 8:15, 9:30, 9:45, 10:00, 10:15, 10:45, 12:00 AM, 12:30 AM, (3:00 AM)

Does a 7:00 pm showing sound alright? Gus has to commute from work and may have to deal with the horror that is Friday night traffic. If you guys can nail down a time, I can go and buy us the tickets for that showing. You can pay me back later. Since I work a few blocks from the theatre, getting there in the mid-morning or afternoon to purchase tickets shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Yeah, 7:30 is good, it'll give me time to catch something to eat before. Buying tickets in advance is a good idea. Do we meet in front of the theatre?

Alright, the 7:30 pm showing it is. I'll purchase the tickets sometime today. How about we meet inside the theatre lobby, near the Metcalfe street entrance? If we meet at the front of the theatre on St. Catherine street, we're bound to be caught up in the Friday night opening day crowds.

Anyway, check in on this thread today if possible. I'll keep you updated as necessary. I think I can get us the tickets in advance. But this being opening day and all, there may be some sort of restrictions on advance ticket selling. Alternatively, the 7:30 pm showing could end up being sold out.

Ok folks, the tickets have been purchased! We're booked for the 7:30 pm showing. If we want to get the good seats in the theatre and not end up sitting at the very front - which would result in getting cricks in our necks - I suggest that we meet between 7:00 - 7:15 at the Metcalfe entrance inside the theatre lobby.

If for whatever reason anyone can't make it tonight, please post in this thread and let me know. This way, I can refund the unused movie ticket.
