Mmmm... perhaps I should clarify. I meant explosions that don't allow the character to walk away like a cool guy without looking back. I mean explosions that throw you and hurt you.

Anyway... I saw this the other day and I liked it. One of my all-time favorite genres is the spy thriller. Sure, the action scenes are fairly tense... but it's the spy stuff that had me at "this message will self-destruct". Especially, the kidnapping at the Vatican. I'm sure it was overly complicated and unrealistic in its kidnapping of Hoffman, but it's a fucking movie. It was awesome. And the team aspect is at its best during this Vatican extraction. And Hoffman was so sinister. Especially during the climatic fight. So brutal. |
