You won't get any reaction if you post a thread of random links without saying anything thoughtful about them.

You say you've been thinking about them. I encourage you to share your thoughts and start the discussion.

i concur.

i havent even clicked on them, to be honest.
i'm unlikely to unless they are described at least briefly.

right now all i think of them is that they strike someone fairly lazy as kinda interesting. i'm aware i could be wrong, but you might have to prove it before i suspect so with any seriousness.

I agree that this thread is not well constructed at the moment, but I am hopeful that buddhalover will edit it into shape soon.

The links above are well worth checking out, but would be better placed in threads about those subjects. The first three links have some incredible images.

The first link http://www.magnuminmotion.com/essay_chernobyl/ is a narrated documentary slide show about Chernobyl and the after effects on the people in the vicinity. The photographs and narration are of a very high standard but also can be quite shocking, due to the nature of the subject.

The Second and Third links http://www.edwardburtynsky.com/ http://www.worldchanging.com/campaign/ are more high quality photographs of the way our industrial high tech society has effected the environment. The photos are very impressive, and can be viewed as a slide show. Nickel River looks incredible and would be quite beautiful to behold if only it was not a river of poison. Tyre Mountain is also an amazing sight. Its quite frightening just how destructive modern industry can be, these are the sort of images that you won’t get to see in the main stream media.

I am cannot make up my mind if these links would be more at home in the Laboratory or the Art fora. If buddhalover can spit these into different threads and give us some write up and opinion on the above subjects then they could grow into a good threads.

The last two links about the holocaust then Bertrand Russell are just to much of a change from the above subjects, having so many different topics in one thread is just not going to work. Please could you edit the thread into a Chernobyl topic or one about How industry has changed the way our world looks. Then I could give more opinion on these great links that you have provided.

These links, although all are interesting, don't really have much to do with one another. These all deserve threads of their own, its a waste to just lump them all together.

I disagree that they shouldn't be lumped together.
I think the first three are problems. And
the last two indicate possible solutions.
