The Gov. really should have jumped in, as you say, it would have been the right thing to do. Unfortunately few are willing to commit political suicide to do the right thing.
As a private institution the University can pretty much make up whatever bigoted asshole rules they want, but that should definately lose them any public funds they would have been given. |
