The European Union special Comission report on the Echelon matter was made public two days ago. To my knowledge the existence of the system was proved, and the Commission's chairman advises all private organizations and individuals to encrypt their e-mails.
One of the aspects of the investigation mentioned by the chairman was the immense difficulties placed by the Americans who did not wish to meet the commission. |
