"To do Soma is to strive to be free and so to be revolutionary and happy."

Has anyone had any experience with this form of therapy, which apparently combines Gestalt theory, Capoeria martial arts, and revolutionary politics? It originates in Brazil, and apparently doesn't have a large english-speaking following (i.e. there's no wikipedia entry regarding it) - although it sounds potentially very awesome as, perhaps a 'discipline of undiscipline'. I personally have very little idea of how good it is or nature, but you can read more here:

http://www.abdn.ac.uk/~src266/body2body.pdf

and the website, which is apparently in English as well as Portugese though I haven't figured out how you transform it:
http://www.somaterapia.com.br/

Has anyone had any full physical experience with it, and could explain and divulge more?

Hm, didn't see the documentary - it *looks* as if perhaps alot of elements of Soma have been taken up by fairly standard western style 'group therapy' operations. But on the other hand some of the literature on it depicts it as something far more involved...
