Ever since I was allowed to pick out my own shoes, I picked black shoes. All black nikes through grade school, switched to all black reebok somewhere in high school, went a little adventurous with the black adidas white stripes for a bit, except for a two year stretch of cherry red Doc Martens, mostly I wear black shoes. I've been sporting these for the last year or so.

All black, including logo, high top converse. Comfy, cool, and very black. Also right around the $40-$50 mark, so affordable as well. And they hold up pretty well. What are you wearing?

Big fuck-off German para boots.

Adidas are my shoes of choice as I find they fit my wide feet. I like shelltoes, though at the moment I'm wearing their take on the Nike's Airforce 1.
I would kill for a new pair of super-modified shelltoes, a pair of which I bought 5 years ago and still wear despite the holes due to the fact that they are the most comfortable shoes ever made.

Big fuck-off combat boots, currently on their third pair of soles. Relatively cheap, extremely comfortable and nigh indestructible. Well, except for the soles — which cost almost as much to replace as buying a new pair of boots, but it saves me the agony of having to walk them in.

Plus some cheap black sneakers as backup, for sports and any other events that may involve running.

I wear black Bucky Lasek Vans, because I like the word "Bucky". I need some new kicks though, these are getting pretty fucked up.

Shit, I should wear those. Black sneakers, and Captain America is my favorite. Will look into this.

right now a pair of Saloman's with a draw string instead of laces.

I have a pair of leather teva style sandles I call my Nazarith Cruizers for casual hanging around.

Yesterday I was in my 10 eye Doc Martens while I was blowing things up in the desert.

I wear sneakers to work (currently a pair of Roos) but the rest of the time I live in heels of one sort or another. I love boots, and if I could wear them year round I would (and I do wear them in the summer when I can get away with it). Currently I'm still hanging on to wearing faux-fur lined wedge-heeled brown suede boots that come up about mid-calf. I also have a pair of cork wedge sandals with wrap-around cloth straps. I'm in the market for a nice pair of basic leather round-toed pumps since my dog ate the ones I wore last summer. Generally speaking I follow footwear trends except when I don't like them - I've never brought myself to wear pointy toes and I HATED the spangly sequined ballet flat/sandal look that went on last year.

I was a latecomer to the high heel scene but once I converted I couldn't go back. In bare feet I'm only 5'2" and petite... heels make me look slimmer, flatter my ass (esp in jeans) and my feet, and they make the trousers themselves look much better. I prefer to rock a heel at least 2" high but rarely higher than 4" for comfort's sake.

I'm lucky (as my taller girlfriends like to yell at me) to have small feet (size 6 and sometimes I fit in a 5) because most women's shoes do look cuter and more proportional at my size... the downside is that I think I'm also the most popular size, because they seem to run out first.

At the moment, Adicolor Yellow's X Huf X Barry McGee. Thinking of selling them though, and buying a pair of Nike SB Golf Dunks.

I have really big feet and in an attempt to diguise this am currently wearing and have always worn really big shoes. Even though a woman at my office has undertaken a huge piss-taking campaign about the bigness of my feet/shoes I still adore 'em.

Outside of work I generally wear trainers/sneakers at least 5 days out of 7. It's been mostly Nikes for quite a ways back (Dunks, AF1s, AirMax), but I recently got a pair of Vans for the first time in about ten years and they look set to be the summer favourite. They took a bit of getting used to 'cause they're mostly white and have a fancy schmancy pattern of stars on em...

...but they quickly became filthy dirty so I no longer feel as if I am masquerading as a star shoe wearing dandy.

Another recent first-in-ages was the acquisition of a pair of big fuck-off boots. I think the last ones I had that I wore regularly were a pair of Getta Grips when I was 16. The new ones I got are by C Diem, a small label that specializes in applying weird treatments to leather (burying it in horse shit on the Russian Steppes for 12 months) and then making stuff out of it. The boots have got this kind of WWI cannon fodder army boot / Victorian prole work boot type thing going on (made out of horsehide with a thick leather sole) and seem pretty much indestructable. I got metal caps put on the heels so they make a lot of noise and throw off sparks when wlking on concrete. Not so great for dancing in though.

wearing these arche shoes right now in brown and a heel instead of a wedge:

i like arche shoes because they're super comfortable and cute at the same time - a rare combination. they're expensive but they last forever, unlike most women's shoes.

I needed a pair of shoes for work, smarter than my black/white Converses, less formal than my formal shoes. Then proceeded to trawl through department stores, shoe shops and men's boutiques for The Perfect Pair of Shoes. No luck, and much self-loathing for time lost never to be used for better things.

In the end I got a Black pair of Vans (with red and white stripes) which weren't quite what I was looking for but are pretty flash nonetheless. I feel very different.

Wear big black boots otherwise.

I was a bit of a skater when I was a kid and became obsessed with Etnies, Lo-Cuts in particular. They are now in their third variation of the Lo-Cut, but I still love them, I can't help it no other trainer seems as comfy or good looking.
Couple of examples below;

My shoe wardrobe is pretty simple - I wear yellow and black Vans TNTs alot of the time which co ordinate nicely with my yellow and black skateboard!
If I need to feel empowered I wear my fourteen hole Doc Martens that I've had for eight years and are as comfy as hell - they are a design classic if ever I saw one.

Awwww... I LOVE Etnies, they're gorgeous sneakers. I used to wear them when I was younger, but as I got older and started dressing differently (less baggily) they created too weird of a silhouette - they're very wide and don't work with narrower pants. Still, lovely shoes.

I'm wearing, not at this minute but everytime I leave the house, a pair of white army surplus plimsoles. The best looking shoes I've ever had in my life. They only cost £7 too. The only downside is they wear down/get holes in/fall apart after about a month of constant wear, but at seven quid a pop you can't complain. Thats them below.

i've been wearing the black reebok classic jogger shoes [with the white stripes/sole] for four years now. or more.. it was time to take a chance on something else. i got these circas on sale. i used to skate, and skate shoes can be pretty comfy. these are a little big for me, honestly, but they provide a lot more support than my reeboks did. helps with my recently fractured ankle as well. they're 100% synthetic material. no cow leather which is always a good thing.

i might go back to etnies or DC next. those lo-cuts are good shoes.

Converse year round, but in the winter I have some super sweet (DC?) skateboarding moccasins.

Also, this is my first post, hello group!

I am now the proud owner of a pair of Keen sport sandals.

I like them because they are open and breathable without having an open toe, so I dont fear smashing my already funky looking toes while at work.

Also, they look pretty slick with my white linen trousers. I need a boat...

Right now i'm not wearing any shoes as i'm at home, and i don't wear shoes round the house. In fact, i'd be quite happy if i didn't have to wear shoes most of the time.

However, i love my sandals in summer (similar to the toe-thong style Birkenstock) and live in them, in spring and autumn i love my Vivo Barefoot trainer-y things (very very flat thin soles, wide to let your feet spread - very comfy) and my pink mary-jane style shoes with little japanese faces on and the dip in the toe (kind of heart-shaped). In winter i wear a big chunky pair of brown DMs that i bought in Camden.

Occasionally i buy impractical shoes which i love the look of but can't actually walk in!

I've been wearing various shoes from Gravis for the past 3-4 years now, and loving them. These are the most comfortable tennis shoes I've ever worn, and I'm a total convert at this point. These particular latest ones I've been wearing are fucking the best ones yet, too. Love the color, design, and overall feel of them.

When I put on my first pair of Pumas (Roma), I immediately felt like I could run super fast and leap around like a ninja (forget split toe sandals, I'm confident modern-day ninjas wear pumas. I imagine they have some sort of endorsement deal). Every new pair does that to me. I can't imagine a reason to buy any other sneaker, so every year on my birthday I get a new pair and spend a few weeks sneaking around, running up walls and leaping from ledge to ledge just to get it all out of my system.

in the summer i am inseperable from my black teva flip-flops. they're basic looking, really comfortable and remarkably durable.

i love big complicated boots, but they're not that practical for my lifestyle.

Dude, when I was growing up those Chucks cost $20... which is what they're worth.

I love the shoers, but it pisses me off that they're so expensive now.

That said, I don a pair of Skechers when I can be bothered.

I used to wear 4" black patent leather court shoes. These days, though, I'll settle for comfort - 1" suede court shoes, much more comfortable.
