I pray, just tell me who you’d have me be
The bon mots queen who walks around with air
Of calm indifference, my gamely stare
And tawdry smirk that bids you say, “Zowee!”
Or do you want my heart like wax of bee
That melts in tears to think you do not care
The one who asks you how to wear my hair
And walks the world for only you to see.
Though I must tell you first that when you do
I’ll only say that you just have to deal
For any thought of change I will poo-poo
At least in this, my blend of snub and zeal.
I swear if guys just want their gals so simple,
I might as well give up and wear a wimple. |
