Lacuna Coil

Are there any Lacuna Coil fans around? I thought I'd make a thread and see if any are about, because I'm sure there'll be one or two at least. I have a cd of some of their songs that I downloaded ages ago and love their sound, and recently started listening to it again. Then at my mates house the other night he had Kerrang TV on and the video to Our Truth came on, and I was really impressed with the sounds of the song, and as usual, Christina Scabbia's awesome vocals.

I'll be getting Karmacode as soon as I can, but was wondering what anyone else thought of the album, assuming that someone here will surely have it. If so, how good do you think it is, and is it very different or has it moved on much from their previous sound?

I found the video to Our Truth aswell whilst searching around on the net, and thought I'd post that up too : Our Truth

Funnily enough, I downloaded a bunch of their stuff the other day.

I'll return to the thread once I've listened to it- from the couple of tracks I've checked out it sounds okay.

I ended up downloading this in the end, but will be buying it for sure. After listening to it a couple of times I wasn't that impressed, but it's been one of those albums that's needed time, and I'm glad that I stayed with it for a while longer.

A couple of tracks hooked me in, then the others started growing on me, and after listening to it quite a bit over the last week I've really got into it. I've found that it has a really epic and atmospheric feel to it, and that it's nigh on impossible for me to stop listening to. One thing I didn't like very much was some of the guitar work, but that's also ended up growing on me after focusing on it more than I did the first few listens, and I didn't think it would. Neat stuff.

I bought Comalies about a year ago and liked it very much. The singer has a wonderful voice. But right now, I have a progressive rock/psychedelic trance phase, so no metal for me right now.

No metal?!

Well I hope you get Karmacode at somepoint and like it, because what they seem to have done here is balance out everything that makes the band great and put those parts into every song. I'm still listening to them and am kind of entranced. Cristina Scabbia's voice is one of the best I've ever heard, and just at the point where some of their songs seem to be as good as many other bands out there, she arrives back in the mix and takes them so far beyond them that's it's often quite unreal. She does this on nearly every song on the latest album aswell, and it's great to hear.

Fucking amazing stuff. (I was wondering how we could be the only Lacuna Coil fans here, but I'm now realizing that the others must be too lazy to post.)
