Or, more realistically, he will discover that Microsoft.eu has already been reserved for the well-known software firm...

I am unfamiliar with Victor Mature. Did he callously crush people's dreams?

My company applied for our .eu domain in August. Signed up today. Result.

I don't know much about the real Victor Mature, but in the early days of Viz they used to have one-page cartoons of a Victor Mature, in which one of his mates would say something like "hey Vic! Let's go to the pub!" and Vic would reply "no thanks, I don't really feel like it".

sleazenation responds:

then returns to his natrural home, in the Armoury Forum:

Victor was a tasty piece of "beefcake" whom I recollect fondly from my youth. He's best remembered, perhaps, for playing Samson with pecs and pathos and bringing down the House of the Lord about everyone's ears. I suspect that has nothing to do with anything and that his Viz reincarnation is the point here.

It is genius, customarily for grant. Until you drew my attention to it, I had not noticed its euphony.

Microsoft Corporation, assuming that they hold the O.H.I.M. trademark for Microsoft Corporation, could have reserved the domain name as early as December 7. However, the domain name so reserved would have had to have been exactly as it appears on the O.H.I.M. trademark. If they wanted a variation, or to shorten it for convenience, they would have had to wait until yesterday.
