Suit-hack?

Sadly not. I'm just feeling a bit down, and wanted to post something, anything, just something to make myself feel present. I haven't felt present for a while....

Plus someone was complaining that the conversation thread was getting too heavy.

The film or the song?

Think carefully before answering. Very carefully.

But do you quite like Friends repeats? I mean, is it really worth my getting freeview simply so I can watch more of them?

I still haven´t seen that movie. Does it deliver action-wise? I´d bet they become friends after 1/3 of the movie and teamup against some boring menace. And I head the commercials in the movie were funny.

Now that you said you liked it, I´ll rent it sooner than later. Hey, it´s got Wesley Snipes!

I like the updated version of the song for the film and the film. The original song is a bit stilted.

Friends repeats - you know I still haven't seen the final episode, and everytime it comes around I miss it for some reason or another, so I have to wait another few months for it to come around again, only to miss it again...

It delivers, oh yes. And they never become friends.

Mmm, Grace Jones' One Man Show. She has a whole army of male Grace impersonators marching in time as she sings her version of Demolition Man. I have played that video till it's threadbare. Don't even have a video player any more. Wish they would bring it out of dvd. Expect Grace isn't popular enough any more. *sigh*

Grace Jones used to scare me... it was the mouth opening to eat the car that did it...

I remember Grace Jones in Conan the Conqueror, which albeit fun, was quite not as cool as Conan the Barbarian:

Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!

As for Demolition Man, it's fun to watch again and see a young Sandra Bullock. What she's been oing lately anyway? I can't remember one movie of hers after Speed 2.

She was in the Miss Congeniality movies, 28 Days, The Divine Secrets of The Ya-Ya Sisterhood and some other films. And she was in Crash.
Sadly, I have seen all those movies except Crash.

It's good for the scene where Siiiimoon Phoenix kicks the asses of an entire police department. Also: when he and Slyvester go sickhouse in San Angeles' Museum of Ultraviolence.

I've never seen it either- but i can see the appeal. We just watched The Princess Bride- for the millionth time- now that is a great movie, Kevin Arnold and Andre the Giant- what's not to like!

Undertoad, it is not sad to have seen all of Ms Bullock's movies. She is a very fine actrice and deserves your attention . You should see her in Crash. She is the best thing in it. Apart from Matt Dillon creepinbg you out while he insinuates himself.

Oh, I'm sure she is; however most of her movies fail to entertain me. I would like to see Crash, though.

Crash is a very fine film. Not good enough to steal the Oscar from Brokeback Mountain *sob* but not at all bad.

I just got a new set-top box and caught some of Jurassic Park 3 this afternoon. It doesn't meet the high standards set by Demolition Man.

Are you insulting Miss Congeniality? ARE YOU?

I've seen none of them. Not even one. Including Crash.

In my mind, Sandra Bullock has frozen in time in Speed 2. And that's not a pretty picture (pun intended? I don't know)

Watching "At Home with the Braithwaites" series 2 repeats at the moment. Yay!
*lazy yawn*
*contented sigh*

Few people are aware that Demolition Man is actually a magical spell, a "sigil", if you will, designed to introduce the idea of Arnold Schwarzeneggar becoming president of the United States and then bring that idea to reality. A self-fulfilling prophecy. So far, it appears to be working.

Bullock said that the 61st ammendment meant foreigners could become president, whereas it seems it's nearer the 28th. Senator Orrin Hatch, Republican of Utah, tried to introduce what would have become the 28th amendment:

A person who is a citizen of the US, who has been for 20 years a citizen of the US, and who is otherwise eligible to the Office of President, is not ineligible to that Office by reason of not being a native born citizen of the US.

Arnold Schwarzenegger became a citizen of the USA just over twenty years ago and was a fundraiser of Hatch in the past (peerages for loans anyone?!). Truth is stranger that fiction.
