Hello everyone, Iam new to barbelith and have taken to observing rather than interacting. For many of my thoughts I find hard to uncover in this cyber context. So bare with me! I have done a spell of sorts cutting a cord of light to seperate an old love from yourself, and many parting ritual variations.Ingesting gebo, drawing sigls of rebirth, and even the simpilst medtitaion grows sinister within me!I feel the dark consuming my heart at a quicking pace. I am self aware enough that I do not wish to harm my ex, or myself for that matter but the fury and deception must go somewhere? I have had to use much energy to keep from feeding thor my blood and demand lilith calm her awating minions. For those that understand.....What do you advize?

Art. Take this energy and form it into art. Paint, sculpt, draw, write. Take all the darkness and etch it into a thing. In creating, you feel all the emotion that obviously bubbling up, and direct it and purge it from yourself.

When the artwork is finished the emotion is transformed, from darkness to beauty, a beauty in darkness.

It will help you let go of this energy that sounds like its driving you mad, and turn it to a positive purpose.

Kneejerk reaction? Shutdown. Break staff, chuck books into sea, the whole Prosperorama. No, not literally, just take a break until you've got a safe distance from your anger.

Try and focus your thoughts onto improving your situation, rather than screwing with someone else's. Write them a letter (Hint: you don't have to send it, just write it), draw a comic where you're a superhero and you kick their arse into a vat of Day-Glo pink dye. Then make up a story about you getting on with your life.

Revenge is a road with no ending.

Practice love wherever you can. Help your friends move, invite your folks to live with you, go out of your way to help someone with their homework, and so on. When you think of something complimentary, vocalize it so that you begin to put these kinds of thoughts to the forefront of your mind.

Be careful. Don't do any of this out of resentment. Don't do any of this mechanically without your heart in it. Don't do any of this for the sake of making friends. This may be counterproductive. The goal here is to help your insides. So keep this in mind.

When I'm in a similar place, as the past has been, I would go to the woods/forest on my own, build a fire, bare my feet or all and get a real good grounding. Tree hugging is great for this, though meditating under it first really helps.
Emotional energy resides in the body fluids and trees have a huge amount of capillary water action going on, let them help you.

While you are there you can eneter into a little primal screaming, let the energy manifest directly, and let nature reabsorb it.

Good luck, and avoid sharp objects for a while, ok?

Dark Does Not Equate With Evil.
Anger Is Not Bad.

Meditate on that for a while and see if it helps shift your perspective on the matter.

Good luck.

Do sit ups or lift weights. It's a good way to use pain & anger.

Burn/Smash/Rend an Effigy. If you are concerned about the energy indirectly affecting the ex, realize the effigy is not of said ex, but of the (sinisterness, sinistrosity?) you wish to rid yourself of. Go to town on it. Really go to town on it. For me, a good way of ridding myself of an emotion I don't like is to exhaust myself experiencing it.

Yes! Yes. I used to do this, and not only did it work but you could grate cheese on my abs.

Really, any physical exertion is useful for draining energetic anger. Beating the fuck out of a punching bag helps a lot.

Sadly, not original to me. I thinks it's a Buddhist thing but I'm not sure.

Like grant and Jhonny said, train yourself to exhaustion.

(Had to do this last month. Three hours straight: Body Combat, Body Pump and RPM... lost 1 kilo and burned all the anger I had inside me).

Thanks you guys I have been taking all your advice in turns. I found myself covered in green paint with scraps of newspaper all scattered about my creation coming to life. I have been making paintings then burning them! The child pyro in me really loves this, and its so satisfying to watch an old pieces of writing melt.I renew through distruction..The tower mockinly occurs in all my readings,so I do those 2 billion situps, run to the woods as often as possible, write stories of absolute doom, eat lots of ice cream, brood and reconstruct my heart. Genuinly thanks.....
