ETO's 'Tosca' and 'Jenufa' this spring

You might have noticed that the English Touring Opera are bringing Puccini's 'Tosca' and Janacek's 'Jenufa' to various venues around England this spring.

What's good about the music in each of the operas in your opinion? If you were to see only one of the two, which and why? (I am hoping to get to both: tickets are listed in our local venue as £25/£18 concessions.) How about the listed performers - any of them a particular favourite & why?
