Ack! You need to find a baysitter. it's a shame you can't bring the little one along, though...

Anna, should I bring along your DVD that i've had for months and months?

Lilly Nowhere Late
12:16 / 29.03.06
In keeping with my once ever tradition, I have new shoes.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
13:42 / 29.03.06
Yay for once ever traditions, like I always said once.

Brigade du jour
19:07 / 29.03.06
You know what? I almost changed it the other day to 'Brigades On A Plane' but ... aah, it's already old-hat.

I'll be at Booths some time in the late afternoon, early evening, if't remains the general plan. Onward!

That was a great night. I've just got up and i'm going to have a fried egg sandwich and a cup of tea and put the new single on (again). I think that is why God made Sundays

doozy floop
15:35 / 02.04.06
I had a most excellent time too, not that I knew who any of you are / were...! And by the way, if anyone lost a phone I handed one in to the tall skinny chap who seemed to be in charge of the venue. Unfortunately, I can't vouch for the condition it's in, as I found it by standing on it in my fairly large boots.

Mon Oncle Ignatius
20:19 / 02.04.06
Ah, you should have asked at he door, as Lilly Nowhere and I were there for most of the night off and on, and of course Mono was singing.

I recall the skinny chap in question - who does run the venue - announcing the found mobile phone, but my recollection of events become hazy after then (or so).

What a busy night it was, and I wish I could remember it better. Hopefully some of the pictures I took might make it on to the Barbelith Flickr account (but I said that after the Chelmsford gig too, and never got around to it).

What a night...thank you everyone for coming! I'm just recovering from my hangover now...

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
21:18 / 02.04.06
Wicked gig. Drugs + booze should technically make for a shit Sunday, but I spent the day down the pub. So that's okay.

Great set, though- if (when) MB make it big, I totally hope they'll still play tiny Stokey venues. Perfect.

Tryphena Absent
00:14 / 03.04.06
Sorry for not turning up. A shame as there was a certain brochure I was hoping to turn my twisted eyes over. Unfortunately I was glued to my sofa, feeling the ache of over-worked arms and sporting a head of wool not quite processing anything. I mostly spent the day with my PS2. A great comfort when your energy has drip, drip, dripped out of your body.

Also I owe Tango Mango a drink.

10:03 / 03.04.06
Splendid gig! Well worth elbowing my way through crowds of victorious Arsenal fans to reach.

The CD sounds really lovely ... I didn't know 'Blue Eyed Boy' was the one that features the big three-part harmony at the end, so a very nice surprise, too. Roll on the next one!

Regrettable Juvenilia
11:16 / 03.04.06
Oh God, the guilt...

mondo a-go-go
17:12 / 04.04.06
A lot g than some previous gigs. Especially enjoyed raucously bellowing the chorus to Replica along with Lilly Nowhere and Tabitha Tickletooth.

Also: the sight of Emerson singing along to Dolly Parton -- with appropriate hand movements!

Somehow I managed to delete part of my last post. It should say "a more rocking set than usual".
