We at dorkbotlondon are about to host the first london dorkfest - a two
day extravaganza of people doing strange things with electricity - a
beeping, whirring, sparking flea-market, set in the post apocalyptic
grandeur of Limehouse Town Hall by the 'ol London Docks held on Saturday
18th and sunday 19th March.
Of course, it's completely last minute, chaotic and hanging together with
gaffer tape and string - the way we like it, which accounts for the
insanely last minute nature of this call for contribs.
We really want some representation and coming together of international
dorkbots! We don't have any money, however, so we can't fly people over
 What we can do - is show films if you sent them to us - or objects, or
anything really. There's still time to post your electro-strange curios
and artworks to:

If you want to send us videos, please contact mike@ticfilm.net who is
organising the showreel - or installing video bits if you want it set up
specially... He can also tell you where to upload vids if you have
digital, and where to send DVDs, what formats we can handle etc..
If you want to send objects- the postal service is your only limitation,
or better, announce at your next dorkbot that you want object X
transported to London - and perhaps the dorkbot courier network will
carry your object to us, where we will give it to the Gurunerds Question
Time panel (Sunday 19th, 2-3pm) to have a look at, talk about, and
otherwise subject to public scrutiny.
Thinking about it, if you do use the dorkbot courier network, do give
them a good story to tell customs and airport security, of course. Er...
maybe best if we say no explosives.. or frequency weapons.. or
fission-powered artworks.
Of course is any of you are likely to be in London - or would like to
hurridly book trips to come over, please do! We'd love to see you here..
Oh, and please do pass this invitation on to your local dorkbots - we
think bringing the network together in some way will really cross the
streams to capture the spirit of dorkbot!
