Well, come on then. We've done the sigils, we've got a few servitors (big props to Dabh, Gek, Amplifly, and Transducer, not to mention my own wee Gatafras). We're all ticking over pretty darned well.

But I've got the feeling lately that some of us have got bogged down in a rut. So this thread is for everyone to sketch their magickal ambitions for the future, be they immediate or distant, petty or profound.

(I probably shouldn't say this, but given the way things have been going lately I'd better: Please, no hair-pulling, kicking, or slapping, and no obfuscation unless you've actually got something to obfusc. Play nice, eh?)

I'd like to make an anti-sigil. Invest the corporate logo of McDonald's with cold-n-prickly vibes, instead of warm-n-fuzzy, so that anyone who looks at the golden arches will inexplicably find themselves desiring yoghurt. With a little luck, the mimic will spread throughout the original population and supplant it within a decade or so.

"Me am Bizzaro Ronald McDonald! Me will make your children die of obesity at age nine and you will pay to help me! Arrr!"

Yeah, I am so stuck in a rut. But I've been planning a massive magickal fictional female conference. It's not all mapped out yet but using comic book covers, (i.e. Jean and Emma's NXM, Promethea's 1st issue, Bolland's Lord Fanny and Ragged Robin) to evoke the lot of them. Thoughts.

Traz- Hey, I did a paper for school like a year ago talking about the McDonald's icon. Basically, I said that the golden arches speak to our western popular concept of the gateway into Heaven. So these dodgy little restaurants are cloaked in a divine and subtle fictionsuit. Also, to hit us over the head even harder the shape of the symbol resembles the shape of breasts (all of our original food in this world.) So the symbol is attacking us on two fronts, the transcendental and the animal material. Maybe you can use that info. for your attack.

This is a good question. I am not sure if you are asking for magickal goals regarding Barbelith or personal goals so I wil answer both.

For Barbelith...
1. I am thinking that the Transducer really needs to be put into action. I would love to see Ze used for the benevolent purposes that Ze was created. Maybe I will start a thread for this.

2. The Magickal Order of Barbelith is still accepting new members. It is a more intensive format and we work on a more intimate level than the forum allows on The Magick. I would love to see more interest in M.O.B.

Some of My Personal Goals...
1. To develop a better relationship with my teacher and spirit guides.

2. To balance and attune my physical and spiritual in a manner that creates a network of my teachings and actions in a seamless effort.

Inspired by all your successes with the various servitors, I've been building one myself; It's primary purpose is to help me change my destructive habits to productive ones. I "upgrade" it on a monthly cycle; It's larger role is to get me out of my 2-year rut, and help me focus my ambitions to achieve something (anything!) fulfilling.

Well, I'm currently in the middle of the sixth year of the Master Plan. Things appear to be running smoothly, more and less, but of course, that is when they say you'd best be on your toes!

I don't really feel like I am in a rut. Too many things going on and several interesting possibilities and opportunities on the horizon. And I keep learning new things everyday! I feel that life is my oyster and I only hope I’m brave enough and strong enough to eat it raw…

In fact, if I was in a rut, then I think that the work that was done in diZzy helped me so very much. As Persephone notes (in diZzy):

When it comes to skills and techniques, my goals are to continue to improve upon what I've already been learning. To gain more experience and expertise. Specifically in the realms of shamanism, Rune magic, oral storytelling as magic, and kung fu. Also, how those various things do and don't work well together.

Next up is learning non-magical, physical healing modalities and finding a balance between the different ways to heal. Bringing my 'career' and my 'spirituality' closer together will benefit me in many, many ways.

Finally, quite a few people who I used to work with shamanically have died in the last year. Most of them were 'elders' of some sort or another. How does my generation pick up some of the slack? How do we prepare to become 'elders' ourselves in the next decades? How does the addition of new responsibilities force me to reprioritize my existing commitments?

That's my path for the forseeable future.

- help Traz with his anti-sigil, maybe extending the 'yogurt effect' to other corporations (ummm... Nestle = cockroaches);

- put in practice all that Tantra theory I've been reading about;

- make this year's flow of events the less painful possible, considering the difficulties I foresee;

- create a servitor to help me find a good job (and another to clean up my boyfriend's room, since santeria hasn't been efficient enough)..

S'pose it's only fair to clue you all in on some of my plans...

#1: Regular meditation to be stepped up.

#2: Energy working, and lots of it. I'm currently practicing making psi balls, to some effect.

#3: Improve my evocation skills. I'll be working with various pop-cultural archetypes, comic characters (mostly Getafix the druid) and maybe one or two historical figures (most probably Tesla. I reckon the world is due another electronic magus, don't you?)

#4: The whole magick popstar thing, although this might have to be put back a bit.

#5: Generally improve my circumstances.

Err, I think I was suggesting that for others, or for a learning exercise. Not sure - I know I never did anything concrete, because I'd remember if I had.

Progression, how I love it.

1. continue the rune ingestion program started by thread on Barbelith, empowering myself and others through it and the posting of my findings.
2. Continue research into strong visions that have become to lead my development and path. Write paper and share research with Adrian Gilbert, on Pyramids, channels of water, Chocmool, the left eye of Horus, Thoth, Silver craft and Dimensional travel.
3. start spirit circle and enter next phase of work, channeling entity.
4. Continue with mission to make first independent short film, which is part of my ethic to encode spiritual and healing into media texts.
5. Look into teacher training. If I can't get a freelance position this year, then I should at least keep within my specified field of media and film.
6. Produce more mix cd compilations of raw underground dance sounds, for tribal gatherings. Fuck the mainstream
7. Continue my idealistic practice of 'being' me, and continue to communicate to all and any the insights that my 'unsane' mind is gifted with.
