On the org team for a multiare(n)a South London event... looking for bands, poets, visual artists, film makers etc to perform/show on the night.

The idea behind the night is a social cross pollination of various ventures... The venue Area 10 is a squatted warehouse that over the last 5+years has hosted all sorts of events and has a regular crowd of free thinking anarchists. Should be a laugh and a good opportunity to see what a variety of different sub-cultural acts are doing.

At the very least I'd be interested in just turning up and seeing what happens. I heard about this once in some article somewhere but have never found anything about it since. Is it in Peckam somewhere?

I'll probably post the details of the night as they develop.

We're looking to involve a whole bunch of people from different 'scenes' around London... The admin meetings are quite interesting in themselves with all weird and wonderful demographics convergent on the idea. From non-cap alt-soc types to three piece Notting Hill art dandies all jostling for volume and kudos!

The meetings are pretty brill:
Ideas passed back and forth, territories laid down, creatives being abrasively creative and event manager types being condescendingly realistic; 'so who IS going to get your 70K lighting rig if you don't want to pay for it?'

and so on... ah reminds we of the balmy rave dusks of the mid 90s *wipes tear* halcyon and on and on...
