It was the brightest and closest full moon of the year last night. I jacked my roommates' telescope and set it up. I live at a good elevation and it was a clear night, so even with pretty cheap equipment, you could see the roughness of the perimeter, and just how far the scars of some of the impact blasts ran. I know this sounds like it belongs in the conversation, but the experience was very moving and included much howling; so I was wondering if anyone else shared it with me. |
