Check out this Press Release from the University of Santa Cruz.
It's fascinating stuff, they're attaching small tags to 34 different types of sea mammals that provide tracking and oceanographic infomation. They've been doing this for year to track whales and dolphins but this is the first I heard of them integrating ocean sensing gear into them.
Wow it's all getting a bit Seaquest DSV all of a sudden, I'd rather they do this when research Whales to the Japanese method. |
