...actually, I'm a bit upset. My girlfriend just quit her day-time job, so is now going to stay up and sleep AFTER her night shift job, so the two seasons of Drawn Together I downloaded are going to go unwatched.

The upsetting part, in fact, is that I like what I've seen of the show. It's wrong, I know, and I am ashamed. But I can't help but like so many of these faux nostalia geek culture shows aimed right at me.

Oh, and as I bid a fond farewell to my 30s, I can say that it has been a grand decade. And I feel happier and saner now than ever in my life, actually. So I'm ok with 40, mostly. (It does sound terribly adult to me, though. I means you can say "people in their 20s and 30s" and it's sort of like you're in a little bit of a grace period. 40 seems like really "no excuses" time, somehow)

I saw Titus MUTHAFUCKIN' Gein last night.

They are an incredible Metal band, that incorporate a member of my sister's old band (he plays keyboard, guitar and drums. All of them incredibly well. He is sickeningly talented).

I have to say, I've never been the biggest fan of Metal (ducks a blow from Stoatie). I think it's because after watching Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, I had an impossible ideal of what Metal should be.

My sister once described Titus Gein as being "the band Wyld Stallyns would have been, if they hadnae just been Kiss instead. Music to unite the planets".

Good God. After seeing them live, It's betraying no childhood ideal to wholeheartedly agree with her. I'm in love. They will be disgustingly famous. If anyone is interested in getting on at THE GROUND LEVEL. I might be pesauded to share their limited press, six-track album of Electro-Metal goodness.
