Dean "Dino" Haspiel is a class act through and through, very talented and a hell of a nice guy, met him several times...I first saw his stuff in his one-shot Opposable Thumbs, lots of great work in there. He's done a number of stories for Harvey Pekar, and The Quitter looks like a great book...(waiting for the softcover on that one). His Billy Dogma stuff is a lot of fun as well.
And I dig his lettering.
I've seen some of Josh Neufeld's stuff (his minicomic with each page showing a key scene from each year of his life, going in order from birth) and it's pretty cool too. Heard a lot about Nick Bertozzi but haven't seen any of his stuff yet. |
