the american captain rockets into the lead there - i worry that the superman might be a bit of a lecture, and/or that he'll have it already.

update: two hours and counting!!! before i get on the bus and go to the comic shop. i know, i know, i said you had until friday, but plans have been brought forward (i never get the comics on a thursday any more, this is a shock to me too. when am i going to eat my sandwiches?)

his birthday was at the start of jan, hence the need to have the pressie wrapped and looking like it's been waiting for weeks. weekend might be a bit eventful as they have squatters!

cap america wins!: don't be crap! back cap!

it was good value for a hardcover (more gift-like, innit), and i picked up the complete lazarus churchyard for myself for four tiny squid.

thanks to everyone for your suggestions, most appreciated

Cheers Gumby. I think D'issy may be the best artist working today, constantly inventive and deceptivley simple. The art on Scarlet Traces and Kingdom of the Wicked is just sublime, his work on XTNCT raised it above average into something special and Leviathon is a minor modern classic of British comics. If the collected edition of that ever surfaces you have to check it out. All of you. HAVE to.
