This guy I know went and joined a language school there. When he arrived he found a 10 foot blown up picture of his face on the side of the building as the resident white English speaker of the school.
He found it hard integrating at first, but after hooking up with some other western teachers in the district, he learnt to settle in and now does local things and can speak the lanuguage a little. It's been three years and he's very fit and healthy on account of all that good food. |
