Another gig outside of N16...and this one even has a tube station!

We're playing at a night called What's Cookin' at The Sheepwalk in Leytonstone Wednesday, 1st February. We're supporting another Stokey band called the Bikini Beach Party so it promises to be a fun night.

We're on at 9, so come early.

Thanks!

If I can get a dog-sitter, or have her trained well enough by then not to eat my stuff when I go out, I'll be there!

Stoat, you've gotta get crate training!

Mono, I'm going to go, might drive tho I wonder if it's safe to take cars to Leytonstone? Which hair will you have this time?

This is as good a place as any to pay my compliments to Lily for Mono's Brighton hair. Tres chic. Good work

Oooh, I used to live in Leytonstone and this is making me all nostalgic! I wish we were still there and could just cruise on up and see you.

And yeah, it's safe to take a car there, Lily - safer than scary Stokey, that's for sure! Of course, my saying that will no doubt mean Tox-06 tags your car.

Curls curls curls. ok then.

I think if my car got tagged, I'd not notice. But I will be holding you responsilbe Ariadne. I might get the hair straighteners out even.

Go see the Bride. Go see the Bride. Go see the Bride.

Not that I'd ever suggest that Ariadne actually is Tox-06, but, well, she is.

Ah, remember the days when TOX-06 was TOX-02? Kentish town lacks TOX.

[threadrot]

TOX has possibly relocated to Bristol, having had an ASBO made against him travelling on the Underground. Or it could just be someone else continuing to keep the name going in a new year.

Well, as George is so fond of saying, "anyone can be SparTOXus Hughes".

Dude, I'm seriously thinking of moving to Stokey just to be nearer Morning Bride...

Unfortunately, I have a date with Alison Bechdel this Wednesday, but will strive and struggle to get to a show. Honest.

The irony is cruel today. I live down the road from Leytonstone and though the downstairs bit of the venue is a bit of a shithole the upstairs is way more welcoming! I myself am busy that night (again, sigh) so I can't make it. Have a fantastic gig, though!

By the way Mono, is there a mailing list so I can find out about gigs and get my arse into gear next time?

Well, you could always check The Gathering, I guess...

That was wonderful.

Leytonstone's funny, though... how can somewhere be quite so big on the map and yet, as soon as you get in a car and start trying to read the A-Z, it becomes impossible to find?

Worth it, though- you guys get better and better each time, and you started off pretty damn cool, so- YOU work it out. And Bikini Beach Band were pretty fucking awesome as well.

Ace gig Morning Bride - even better than the last time I saw you, and as Stoatie notes, Bikini Beach Band rounded out the evening quite well. I know the surrounds may be unsettling, but the venue itself is excellent. More gigs at the Sheepwalk, I say (and more 'Lithers visiting the East more often).

Brigade, you mad fool - whatever you were doing, it is very unlikely to have been better than this.

Hey! Don't be knocking the 'stone.

I used to have a theory that TOX was like the phantom and the years denoted successive TOXs rather than years. As each successive TOX would get nicked or fall under a train, his successor would inherit the mask and spraycan and increase the number. Never found his cave though.

Bah. Next time I'll get to go, hopefully.

Glad the gig was fun though.

thanks for coming everyone. it was amazingly fun and i even got to can-can to the bikini beach band!

the only drawback was that they gave all the money to headline band without telling us first. the fuckers. not even anytghing for the cab ride home!!!

They are fuckers. I'm a little surprised that BBB didn't offer up something of their kitty. But then they might not have realized. O they'll all be sorry one day...
I blame the neighbourhood.
