Ewan McGregor appreciation thread

He was in Trainspotting, he's played Obi Wan Kenobi, he's a famous movie star who unexpectedly appears on PBS from time to time doing adventurous things like riding BMW motorcycles with his buddy across the world, or the other week when he was doing a polar bear documentary. He likes to play his guitar and smile while singing to people around him, and even though he's not great the people smile and laugh when he plays because he just looks like he's having a great time. This is the huy that Tom Cruise wants the media to see him as, but Tom's not genuine. Ewan's the real deal! He's a good guy!

Jack, I don't think I can really appreciate Ewan's goodness without a portrait by you.

Fun Fact: Ewan loves to show his dong on screen.

I must disagree, as I still haven't forgiven him for 'Moulin Rouge'. I do admit, however, that this is more my problem than a problem with Ewan McGregor per se.

Oop! Cross-posted with Q, there.

Fuck yeah, we need some portraiture. Don't forget the lightsaber!

This is the guy that Tom Cruise wants the media to see him as, but Ewan is not a crazy asexual robot-man

Reiterated in Spanish for emphasis:

Hecho De la DiversiĆ³n: Ewan ama demostrar su pinga en la pelicula!

The best Ewan McGregor fact is that Lucas had to tell him to stop making the lightsaber sounds when he was on the set of the prequels.

My girlfriend gets angry thinking about MacGregor's beaming face saying the word 'love'. He does this in a number of films.

I think that gets me angry too.

I love Moulin Rouge (ducks).. no really! But goddamn that Long Way Round show was awful... there was no freaking adventure there! If he and his buddy just jumped on their motorcycles with a camcorder, THEN yes, it would be adventure.

Instead we got an entire episode of them getting sponsorship and funding(?), because they somehow need money for this(?) and then the rest of the episodes were them riding around with a camera crew, and full camper van full of support staff and supplies!

That's not an adventure! Adventure would be two guys sleeping in a tent at the side of the road at night, and alone, riding across Siberia! Not travelling in a caravan of equipment! With fancy new sponsored bikes! And half a dozen people around you at all times to make sure that nothing goes wrong!

(sorry... that show just hits a nerve with me... carry on with the appreciation...)

It's all about that smile on his face in his final closeup in "Shallow Grave." I could see my entire future in that smile...
