hahahahaha yeah we're the ones who need to watch out. Those crazy out-of-towners might wreak all our nice stuff.
People are excited about all the money the Superbowl is bringing (Detroit is several million dollars in the hole). The city is something of an embarrassment to everyone and if all goes well it might help Detroit's image. There have even been rumors of "Real World: Detroit", but I refuse to take them seriously.
I'm a good fifteen miles from Detroit now but I was there when the Pistons won the championship and things didn't get too out of hand. I wouldn't be surprised if things go smoothly. Yes, people will get robbed, but that's just Detroit saying "I appreciate you stopping by". |
