Sax is in the Guardian today!

Sax
08:58 / 12.01.06
Centre spread, full two-page picture of WPC Sharon Beshenivsky's funeral cortege, extreme left hand side of the picture, framed between some scaffolding, standing behind a guy in a black and red jacket!

Ain't that great?!

Jack Denfeld
08:59 / 12.01.06
Scan it flat-scan!

Regrettable Juvenilia
09:01 / 12.01.06
...Open bottle of champagne in one hand, glamour model on the other, knob out, A NATIONAL DISGRACE...

Sax
09:05 / 12.01.06
I can't scan it, it's too big!

The photo, not the knob, obviously!

Mourne Kransky
09:05 / 12.01.06
I can't open the centre spread - something seems to be sticking the pages together.

Alex's Grandma
13:15 / 12.01.06
OMFG!

*rushes out to buy paper*

*rushes back in, to the, well there's no good way of putting this, to the... 'facilities'*

*Lights B&H, after meaningful silence*

*mumbles quietly to self 'Ooh, that's so much better.'*

*hands round copy of Guardian to other bewildered old crones*

*Is given meds, and lots of them, far more than usual. Result!*

Is that a flask in your pocket?

Benny the Ball
13:38 / 12.01.06
Stand up striaght, Sax, you'll do yourself some damage! (I'd recommend slightly bending your knees and tucking your coxic (sic) under).

I was bowing my head in respect. Jesus, young people today.

And no, it wasn't a flask. It was a copy of that day's paper and my hastily scribbled notes.

BTW, and *whispers* I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but the funeral service was strictly "no press and public" and I managed to sneak in.

Tim Tempest
13:54 / 12.01.06
You crashed a funeral!? Man, I hear that's where you pick up all the chicks.

Mourne Kransky
14:13 / 12.01.06
"no press and public"?

I can see several big cameras whirring away in the photo. Odd that. That's live action press though and you're stop motion.

Sorry, I meant at the actual service inside Bradford Cathedral.

Mourne Kransky
15:35 / 12.01.06
Ignore me, I was having a stressful day. You are a local worthy and should have been personally invited into the cathedral by the Archbishop of Bradford and Bingley, dictaphone in hand.

alas
15:52 / 12.01.06
It's not in the online version, I take it?

Mourne Kransky
15:57 / 12.01.06
I don't mind paying the extra 10p now.

Quantum
18:58 / 12.01.06
Are you that blurry in real life Sax?

Only until the third Buckie.

I missed it. I've been getting the Guardian less regularly recently as a result of a combination of still not likeing many of the changes adopted in its Berliner format and its recent price hike up from 60p to 70p (the same as the Indie)...
