morning Jack, morning nimrod.

Spaniel
09:13 / 12.01.06
Oh, and bonjour, Nimrod

Sax
09:14 / 12.01.06
If Nimrod can also despatch my early morning erection he can be my butler.

Spaniel

I dunno about despatching erections. He's one sexy customer, and a romantic - he's brought us a rose, afterall.

Sax
09:18 / 12.01.06
Well, I was rather hoping he'd be despatching by way of his vice-like metallic grip (although he'd need to warm his hands first) or his pouting, sexily down-turned mouth.

What a marvelous way to start the day. A rose, a croissant, some fruit and a nice thick slab of raw reconstituted pork. Mmmm.

Spaniel

Sax, he probably doesn't have time to sex you: he's got to protect humanity from the mutant threat.

all seemingly covered in clear varnish - lovely.

You mean Xoc. Wurr.

Spaniel
10:33 / 12.01.06
Look, Denfield's head, not Xoc's.

I know who I mean.

There cameth upthread of me one mightier than I, the strap of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. I indeed have teased you with Ruth Madoc, but He hath thrilled you with the Great Nimrod.

Jack Denfeld

I sorta look like Ruth Madoc I guess. I should probably download a piece of her work so I can better understand any of the Madoc in-jokes.

In terms of pop culture, who would be her American counterpart?

Benny the Ball
11:40 / 12.01.06
Diane in cheers, or maybe the ditzy one in Ed, or the two combined.

Mourne Kransky
16:02 / 12.01.06
Betty Rubble.

That's a tough one, if you mean what is her counterpart as an actress. As for her character in 'Hi-de-Hi', Gladys Pugh, I'd say she's kind-of like Hotlips from 'M*A*S*H'.

(Oh, and Jack: does this thread mean we can look forward to more exploits from Nimrod in the near future? Go on. You know it makes sense.)

Ruth Madoc sounds supsiciously like an alias of the Ruthless M.O.D.O.K.

Oh, stretching it, but can’t the equivalent be Daphne from Frasier? Only cos that could mean Simon Cadell as equivalent of Niles and Paul Shane as equivalent of Frasier, and then, Paul Shane as a put-upon radio psychiatrist seems like it'd be quite a good idea for a show. If I had a time machine I’d go back and pitch that one.
