That's a really good podcast. There's some really good stuff in the earlier broadcasts. I'm definitely going to listen to all their stuff.

Thanks for the link.

More yakkity-yak!

From greylodge.org: RU Sirius vs. Generation Hex!
Both interviewees are great. The interviewers, tho, talk too much. Some especially tantalizing bits about the now infamous "FOX News Working" in there.

Also found zis: GENERATION HEX: HIGH ROAD ANAMNESIS 2005, which I cannot vouch for as it is an 84mb file and I have not the net connection to handle it at present. Sooo, from the posting, "On October 27, 2005, these infamous “children of the new millenium,” authors of the hit Disinformation anthology Generation Hex descended on Alex Grey’s Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in New York City. Speaking to a full house, the group’s discussion and debate as to the nature of magick and its place in youth culture at the beginning of the Twenty-First Century is contained herein. If you couldn’t be there in the flesh, this 74 minute recording of the proceedings is the next best thing.

Dr. Marvin Moloch? Surely there isn't really a man named Dr. Marvin Moloch. Well, Marvin, if we youth of today are the playstation-addled garbage you make us out to be, it may just be time to break out that Moleculo-Tronic Rosicrucian Death Ray you've been tinkering with over at the University of Meh. Oh yes, we'll pay for invoking the ipsissimic ire of that Vitriolic Viscount of Cabalistic Criminality... DOC MOLOCH!

I know, I know... attack their IDEAS... sorry.

I find it hard to believe that Doctor Moloch is real, given the whole Moloch/child eating thing and the tone of his Generation Hex rebuttal. But if he is real, is that not just as funny as fuck! Doctor Moloch versus Generation Hex!

I would attack his ideas if he was actually interacting with any of the ideas in the book himself, as opposed to just bitching about kids nowadays and their loud music. All of the criticism I've seen of that book has been of that ilk. It's either people shaking their fists at "these young upstarts who think they know it all!" with no substance behind their argument; or else its people taking issue with the marketing and design of the book as if it's all show and no content - without ever making reference to anything in the book that they specifically don't like or disagree with.

It drives me nuts! But I really must get out of the habit of trying to deal with each of my critics individually before I turn into the occult Mark E Smith or something.

Also, of course there's no university at Bohemian Grove. Just a bunch of rich guys in tents, as far as I know. Dr. Moloch: if he weren't real, we'd have to invent him.

Gypsy: better than turning into the occult Marky Mark.

I think it's safe to assume Dr. Marvin K. Moloch doesn't usually go by that name, and isn't an accredited academic.

Bohemian Grove is an interesting summer gathering place for the rich and powerful, but it doesn't have its own University of California campus.

Doc,

I want to trade in my Miskatonic U pin for a Meh U pin now...

..also it was quite odd that Gypsy Lantern's Mark E. Smith ref made me think of Marky Mark as well...perhaps my eye unconsciously scanned your remark further down? Weird!

Yes. I have a grimoire. With it I have called forth many foul spirits and set them free upon the earth to cast their baleful glamours through the scrying glass of haunted mirrors. Among them Maak Vaalberg, Maat Daimon, Gorge Kloonii and Benn Ahflekh. Ancient Sumerian Devils that walk abroad among the living and ply their filthy trade.

I'm listening to HIGH ROAD ANAMNESIS 2005 now. 'S good, and I'll probably need another listen or two before I've taken it all in.

A quick Q on this: Is Rachel Haywire who I think she is?
