So there are obviously some people who drift in and out of Barbelith. Some people who stop posting when they get busy or down or whatever. I miss some of them. Maybe this thread can be a bit of a lure to the lurkers out there....

I miss Deva, betty woo, Mazarine (down in the Spectacle, or gone entirely?), plums of course nbut she don't have net access), Ray Fawkes, belbin, True Art, kooky posting on the head shop, and Medea Zero, who hasn't posted much at all since hir vacation up north.

Who do you miss?

I would agree with Betty Woo, actually plumsy since she doesn't get to post all the time, True Art, the amazing Dao Jones, and hey, what the hell happened to Kali?

Far too many to remember to list them all here, but two who definitely go on the list are matsya and Mirror. matsya I still see here now and again.

Anyone heard from Mirror recently? Is he still travelling? The board as a whole suffers from his continued absence.

Kali posted fairly recently in the Spectacle, she caught a sneak preview of Queen of the Damned.

I myself miss the hell out of Dao Jones and Mister Whisper, among others.

I miss lots of the above people, but I also have to give shout outs to [Your Name Here], who teased us all by returning briefly recently only to vanish again into the ether, and quiz kid aka Adrian Reynolds. Maybe their lives have moved on - that's no reason not to hunt them down like dogs and drag them kicking and screaming if necessary back to their loving home...

I also miss matsya. Although he is currently on a road-trip, so can be forgiven for not being around.

I miss Deva, and Lick My Plums, Bitch, and intermittently Rosa and Crunchy during their busy times. Although, actually, what I miss at the moment is the capacity to remain in reasonably coherent tocuh with people from the board off the board, if you see what I mean. Posting to Barbelith seems to require less of a kind of studs-up commitment of time and energy than emailing people individually, probably because being Haus requires rather less care or responsibility than being ur-Haus...

Oh, and Edward Van Halen. Bless you people, I am still more 'here' than lots of the people mentioned. Occasional net access stinks, just enough to do vital stuff, not nearly enought to faff around here and 'keep up'... And having been in shit headspace hasn't helped.

But if *someone* does want to buy me a PC...

I miss Quizkid as well, suspect he's been off getting a life, or something.

Oh, and Rosa, and anyone else, if you want to ,konw why Belbin hasn't been posting recently, he's been a little
busy...
