What to do when your wand breaks

This has been going on for a while.

It seems as though my friend has lost a sense more important than sight itself.

Three basic questions
1. What can he do to get back on track given that his primary medium has been shot?
2. Does anyone have any especially good ideas about what I could do as a friend aside from the obvious things?
3. Has anything similar happened to people here at Barbelith or people you know?

You could say that something similar happened to Renoir, who lost the use of his hands but continued to sculpt by guiding an assistant's hands with sticks tied to his wrists, and to paint with brushes fixed to him in the same fashion.

A friend of mine was gifted/burdened with excellent non-physical vision, which he didn't have to do any sort of work to activate (just avoid alcohol). However, he misused it (in my opinion— he was consistently belligerent towards the entities that he encountered, often with some justification but sometimes not) and developed a seizure disorder which over time impaired this sense. So far as I know, he's simply stopped working— but then, his magical work developed in response to his ability to see non-corporeal persons in the first place.

Just before I read this thread, I kept thinking the phrase "Magick Without Hands". So this is my first post.
It's hard to say, and well worth a Bohmian dialog.
Almost everything "magickal" i do consciously is either "quick and dirty" or "disposable"... For that(uh)obvious "reason" that everything changes or is changing or what-not.
No promises. Except that one. Maybe.

Mirroribis, huh?

That won't be confusing, at all.

I took it as a word of assurance about the way magical things never seem to stay static. No idea what Bohm has to do with it, though.

Nothin' fancy. Just referring to Bohmian Dialogue.
Hooray confusion!
