I'm looking to find a phrase in any Celtic language(I know there's no such thing, but it's a handy catch all term) that might equate to "The Hungry Village", "The Hungry Town", "The Town Where They Eat A Lot" or something simmilar. Cany anyone help?
Baile an Ocras or probably more correctly Baile an tOcras for an Irish Gaelic translation of Town of Hunger. Bailebheag would be village. Bolya on Ucras/Bolya on Tuckras/Bolyavyug respectively for shakey phonetic translations.
An bailebheag càr n-itheann siad feoil (the village where they eat flesh). Although feoil is more traditionally meat so maybe you should use choilainn in its stead.
