This was launched some time last year by a group of media students, using their university's webspace to broadcast clips by hardly known German bands, by now they have grown to a full-scale online music channel showing everything from maximo park to schnackelmann. non-commercial, *no ring-tones*!

At this second there's a program called d-zentral, which they got from some open channel, I think it's the only moderated program - most of the time it's only clips, one after the other.

Question: Is there anything comparable worth checking out, from europe or other places? It'd be cool to see what's considered alternative in other countries.

In the radio-land, there is obviously the marvelous resonance.fm broadcasting from the UK - largely (although not exclusively) along the musical tastes of many readers of The Wire magazine. In Poland/Germany there is (was?) Radio Copernicus (google for the address) but I think there was some talk about terminating their mission as of January 1, 2006. Then again, they might have some archives - I haven't listened to them for some time now but they were definitely on the edge and all that.
